Introduction to Our Rules
We are committed to providing excellent customer service and operating our business fairly. All bets placed with us follow these rules. We post changes to the rules on our website.
You decide if you want to place a bet. Our employees’ comments about bets are just opinions, not guarantees. We can change bet terms if we notify you. We can refuse all or part of any bet.
Ladbrokes General Rules apply to all sports but individual sports have their own rules that matter more.
“All In” Bets
“All in” bets are made understanding your pick might not take part. If your pick doesn’t take part, you lose no matter what.
Accepting Bets
You can only bet on future events unless we offer live betting. If we mistakenly take a bet on an event that already happened:
The bet stands if nothing major happened to change the chances.
In football, if a player is sent off or there is a score or penalty within 5 minutes after kickoff, the bet is void.
Bets made after results are known do not stand no matter what.
Late Internet Bets
Internet bets are struck when they appear in our systems or databases.
We may allow horse bets to stand if little of the race passed with no big events like falls.
Late Shop Bets
On horse races, if our shop system has automatic “no more bets” times, bets before that time stand. The times are:
- 10 seconds after start for under 1 mile
- 20 seconds (Ireland: 30 seconds over 2 miles) after start for 1+ mile races
On dog and virtual races the time is 2 seconds after start.
Correcting Accounts
We can take back overpayments by adjusting your account, like fixing incorrect prices or results.
Betting Before an Event (Ante Post)
Bets stand whether the horse/team participates or not. So if your pick withdraws but could have participated, you lose.
Live Betting
Prices can change quickly during live betting, so the price may update between placing your bet and confirmation. If the price goes against you, you can accept the new price or not bet. Displayed live scores and times are not guaranteed accurate. Bets have a short delay before acceptance.
Tied Winners (Dead Heats)
If runners tie, divide your stake by the number of them and multiply by your odds.
Disputes
Talk to the shop manager first. If still unresolved, contact Customer Support and they can escalate your query to a supervisor for a decision within 24 hours. If still unsatisfied, refer to the Independent Betting Adjudication Service.
Each-Way Betting
An Each Way bet has equal stakes on Win and Place. If your pick wins, both pay out. If your pick places only, you lose the Win stake but Place pays out at fractional odds. It’s common in horse/greyhound racing and some tournaments.
Enhanced Prices for Multiple Bets
Unless stated, if a horse/greyhound withdraws from an enhanced multiple bet, the rest stand at starting price. Football multiples apply to 90 minutes only. Overtime counts for US sports. Standard rules apply within multiples.
Errors
If human/system error makes our price materially different from the market price, we pay out at the correct price based on major bookmakers’ prices when your bet was made. If no market price, the bet is void. Any displayed scores/times are not guaranteed.
Fraud
We take legal action if you commit fraud, dishonesty or illegal acts and withhold payouts if suspected. You must cover our resulting financial losses.
Postponed Matches
Bets before scheduled kick-off on cancelled/postponed matches are void. Delayed matches played same day stand. Some tournament frameworks supersede this.
Price Changes
Prices can change and have limits. Prices may vary between our business channels.
Online/Mobile
We aim to accept bets quickly but live prices can change between bet placement and confirmation. You may get the new price or not bet.
Settling Bets
We use official sources published immediately after the event. If unavailable or disputed, we use Press Association or our own statistics.

Fixed Price Multiple Bets
Enhanced multiples are win-only at fixed prices. Dead heats pay out as starting price accumulators. Bets stand on horses not riders. Withdrawals deduct standard rule 4 deductions. Football applies to 90 minutes. Overtime counts for US sports.
Voids
Voided singles lose stakes. Voided multiples stand minus that selection.
Fraud and Our Rights
We can sanction you for illegal acts and report you to authorities. We can withhold payouts and offset liabilities if you owe us money.
